Gemini Gets Personal in Your Car
Google is extending Personal Intelligence to Gemini in the car. Through Android Auto and cars with Google built-in, Gemini can draw on information across Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Photos, YouTube, and Search. Google's example is asking about your flight status while driving.
Why it matters: in-vehicle assistants are becoming a competitive battleground, and personalization is the feature that separates a generic voice assistant from one people rely on daily. For automakers and software teams, the real question is how deep cross-app access should go inside a vehicle, and how clearly users are asked for permission. Trust and transparency will shape adoption as much as capability does.
For product and data professionals working on connected cars, this is a useful signal about where in-car AI is heading.
