7 Melted Nvidia GPUs in Two Days at One Repair Centre

A repair centre in China has reportedly received seven melted 12+4-pin Nvidia GPUs in just the past two days, according to PC Gamer. The volume in such a short window is the detail that stands out. A handful of failures can be dismissed as bad luck, but a cluster like this points to a recurring problem with the 12+4-pin power connector that deserves attention from anyone who builds, sells or supports PCs.

For hardware teams, repair technicians and retailers, incidents like this shape how quickly warranty claims grow, how support teams triage complaints and how clearly installation guidance needs to be communicated to customers. Connector design, safe seating and clear user instructions are not small details when they affect expensive components.

For PC builders and enthusiasts, the practical takeaway is simple: verify your connections and watch for signs of heat damage.
