Nvidia RTX Spark could bring Arm to every Windows PC
Nvidia's RTX Spark is worth watching for reasons that go beyond one product launch. The Verge points back to the original Microsoft Surface, an Nvidia Tegra-powered Windows device that bombed so hard Microsoft had to write off $900 million in inventory. The earlier attempt ran a stripped-down version of Windows, and that limitation is part of why it struggled.
The bigger question is whether Arm can now expand across the PC market in a way it has not before. If it does, hardware makers, software developers and IT teams will all need to rethink compatibility, performance and power assumptions. For people building careers in chip design, PC software or enterprise IT, this is a shift to track closely.
What part of the PC stack do you think would change first if Arm became the default?
