Honor X8e 4G Brings 108MP Camera and 7,700mAh Battery

Honor has quietly launched the X8e 4G, an entry-level phone that is nearly identical to the X7e Plus 4G released in August. The headline specs are a 108MP camera and a 7,700mAh battery, but the more interesting story is pricing. It was spotted on the Honor Azerbaijan site, where local retailers sell it for AZN 820, about $480. Another retailer lists it at AZN 688, only 17% above the Galaxy A08 4G at AZN 590. The comparison is not perfectly like for like, since Honor's price is for a 6/256GB model and the Galaxy configuration may differ. For anyone following the budget smartphone market, this shows how brands use spec-heavy cameras and batteries to compete on value, while the crowded lineup raises questions about product differentiation.
