Bend Studio's Next Game Isn't Days Gone 2

Bend Studio, the team behind the 2019 action-adventure game Days Gone, is reportedly already in production on its next project, and it is not Days Gone 2. According to a report from MP1st that cites anonymous insiders, the game is a third-person co-op title slated to be revealed sometime in 2027, with a late 2027 launch. Notably, it is reported not to be a live-service game, even as Sony has renewed its push for that model. For industry watchers, this is a useful signal about how studios are balancing big single-player legacies with new multiplayer ideas. For developers and designers, a studio shifting from a known franchise to a fresh co-op concept shows how project direction can change quickly behind the scenes.
